It is a pleasure to announce that Victoria Miller, manager at Chipping Barnet Foodbank, featured on last week’s King’s Birthday Honours List for her work at Chipping Barnet Foodbank and the wider community of Barnet.
Victoria has been involved with Chipping Barnet Foodbank since its humble inception in 2012, as a volunteer for 10 years and in more recent times as a Foodbank Manager in a much bigger organisation which includes 166 dedicated volunteers.
Victoria has received the British Empire Medal which is an award given for various kinds of service including long term charitable work, volunteering, or innovative projects that have a positive local impact. Anybody who knows Victoria will be aware that she ticks all of these boxes.
Upon hearing of her award, Victoria wanted to thank and acknowledge everybody at Chipping Barnet Foodbank and its community partners because the operation of the food bank is very much a team effort and not an individual pursuit.
